Hobby Lobby: Women's Birth Control Misconceptions

There is only one important feat I want from our news media, and that is the TRUTH. I'm not sure if the media even knows what the truth is, and to be frank, I might be blaming those hard working headliners for something they're not responsible for. Maybe, I'm not the one telling the truth, but finding a scapegoat that is so easily blamable for spreading lies about Hobby Lobby.

Recently, I have read so many misconceptions regarding Hobby Lobby trying to control female employee's bodies by never approving any form of birth control. This isn't the truth, and the truth is what we should all be concerned about. Believing aspects of information only because they fit in with our world view on our likes and dislikes regarding politics and individual rights brings us back to the dark ages, and burning witches is not far behind. The truth is I don't see anyone burned at the stake any time soon, but when we let our own extreme prejudices get in the way of truth--aren't we living in a time of myth and hatred?

Hobby Lobby does not believe in abortion, and they aren't alone. I recently saw a CNN poll that showed almost 60% of the population are in agreement with this company. I'm not going into detail whether I think it's right or wrong to have an abortion, even though I feel very strongly about the issue--I just want the truth to be told.

I don't shop at Hobby Lobby and I'm not trying to be a spokesperson for them, but the truth is Hobby Lobby believes in Birth Control.  The company's insurance plan offers over 15 different ways to prevent conception, including condoms, spermicide, birth control pills and the list goes on. There are only a few that they do not believe in, and each one has to do with abortion, including abortion and the morning after pill.

We've all been guilty of spreading untruths because we want the world to fit in with our perception of what the perfect ideal society would be like, but I think what the world needs now is Love Sweet Love. Sorry, I think the world needs to stop judging others and we should really look inside of ourselves, and find out whether we want to spread our own agenda or the wonderful world of truth.
